Senior Spotlight: Nathan Grobbel

Varsity Tennis player and captain, Varsity Lacrosse, A Honor Roll, BEAM&R, DECA, Kairos Leader, SADD Club, IM basketball and did leadership talks for underclassman

When you think of Brother Rice, what three words come to mind first?

Brotherhood, Preparation, and Community

What are your next steps after graduation and what is your dream job?

After I graduate from Brother Rice, I will be attending the University of Dayton and majoring in Marketing. My dream job would be using the skills I learned at Brother Rice and applying them to the world around me.

Who is your favorite teacher and why?

I have a lot of great teachers who have supported me throughout my journey at Brother Rice. If I had to choose one, I would say Mr. Kalczynski because he showed me and my classmates the importance of the Brother Rice experience and what it means to be a warrior.

What’s your favorite place on campus and why?

My favorite place on campus would be in the lunchroom, being able to catch up with my buddies and have a nice break during the day to eat and laugh with my friends.

What’s your favorite thing about Brother Rice?

My favorite thing about Brother Rice would be the sense of community between the teachers and students, and how everyone has a connection.

What are some of the ways you have grown during your time at Brother Rice?

Some of the way that I’ve grown at Brother Rice would be that my study habits have definitely improved and also, I found new ways of studying.

Describe an experience that you have had at Brother Rice that you could not have had anywhere else:

An experience that I’ve had at Brother Rice that I couldn’t have anywhere else is being a leader and a candidate on Kairos. It was one of the most amazing experiences I’ve ever had and would recommend it to anyone who asks me if they should go.
