The Brother Rice Medical Club hosted Dr. Gary Brouhard to speak to its members about the world-renowned research that he has pioneered on April 26, 2022.
Dr. Brouhard was able to visit with students via Zoom in the Mike Neus ’80 Institute for Character & Citizenship. He discussed the advancements in his research involving microtubules and how it plays a major role in finding potential cures for cancer. He went on to inform students the importance of getting involved in research as they go on to pursue careers in medicine, emphasizing that relationships with professors are the most important thing.
The members really enjoyed the meeting and learned tremendously about the world of research and how it plays a role in pioneering new advancements in medicine.
