Class of 1970 50th Reunion

A Night to Remember

The class of 1970 enjoyed a “night to remember” celebrating their 50-year class reunion on Saturday, July 31, 2021.  Classmates shared past stories and current whereabouts, all while reminiscing on their nostalgic times in high school during the late 1960’s into 1970.

President Tom Reidy and Director of Alumni Affairs Dan McGrath ’96 hosted classmates and their significant others back on campus for an enjoyable evening with friends and two of their former coaches and teachers, Bill Norton and Bob Stark ’64.  Graduates gathered for a Memorial Mass in the Brother Rice chapel presided by former teacher and Principal, Fr. Joe Grimaldi, to remember all deceased classmates from the class of 1970.

President Reidy welcomed and addressed the attendees before bestowing each graduate with golden diplomas to commemorate the legacy these alumni pioneers helped establish and cultivate during the school’s infancy.

Following mass, graduates were given a tour of the school to witness the new renovations that were under construction at the time, including the Brother David MacIntyre Faculty & Staff Commons, the Locker Room and the Center for Learning & Achievement.  The social gathering in the cafeteria culminated the experience with countless stories, laughs and memories that renewed and strengthened friendships linked to the alliance of the brotherhood.

Congratulations to our newest Golden Warriors, the Class of 1970!
