Spanish Honor Society Induction Ceremony 2022

On Tuesday, March 22, 2022, the Brother Rice High School Spanish Honor Society held a wonderful induction ceremony. Felicidades to the forty-one newly inducted members who were honored for their high achievement in Spanish studies.

Special recognition was awarded to three seniors who have stood out as exemplary in upper-level Spanish. Jack Judge, Reagan Dietz, and Grant Sanger were selected to receive the “Premio de Honor” from the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese for 2022.

Spanish Honor Society seniors received their honors cords recognizing their academic achievement, and in preparation for their upcoming graduation ceremony!

SHS officers President Christian Stipho, Vice-President Zack Moraitis, and Secretary Sean Nicholson were instrumental in helping Senorita Battista and Senora Christie make the evening special for everyone in attendance.

SHS members were on hand to welcome new members and celebrate honorees, as they look to the future in leading members next year.

Additionally, the Spanish department had welcomed a special guest this week, Mauro Primorac, a performer from Spain who is a part of the famous La Tuna de Medicina de la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. He shared his experiences abroad performing and presented classes with his amazing musical abilities. He also performed at the SHS Induction.
