Rice in the D 2021 | Honoring the Class of 1986

The most influential people in our community are those who take the deepest interest in our next generation of leaders.  This statement is at the heart of the mission of Rice in the D; alumni, dads, and friends of Brother Rice joining in fellowship to provide support for our Tuition Assistance Program and Endowment Fund, with the purpose of serving the young men who walk our halls and ensuring the strength of Brother Rice for years to come.

October 7, 2021 | An Evening of Brotherhood & Mission

Brother Rice High School was very proud to honor the Class of 1986, and their four co-chairmen, Dan Allor, Tom Barnds, David Brown, and Chris Sullivan, as this year’s Edmund Rice Tuition Warrior honorees at this year’s Rice in the D event. Their pioneering support ten years ago has firmly taken root in providing a model for future endowment growth. The renewal of their $100,000 lead gifts, as well as $100,000 to establish a named endowed fund in honor of former President John Birney ’76, were the catalyst for our record setting evening.

Thank you again for supporting Rice in the D.  Your generosity is the gift of possibility that enables the empowering gift of opportunity for nearly forty percent of students receiving need-based tuition assistance. In their name, thank you for the true “Spirit of Brotherhood” evident in your actions.

SAVE THE DATE for the next Rice in the D – October 6, 2022!
