When you think of Brother Rice, what three words come to mind first?
Leaders, Camaraderie, Pride
How has Brother Rice helped you improve as a student?
As a student, Brother Rice has pushed me to become the best academic I can be. I have learned self-discipline and hard work in the classroom. In addition, I have been thoroughly prepared for college through our immense network of amazing teachers, counselors, and staff.
Who is your favorite teacher or coach?
All of the teachers and coaches at Brother Rice are amazing, but if I had to pick just one, it would be Coach Garippa(Lacrosse). Coach Garippa pushes me to be not only the best player I can be but also the best man I can be. Throughout my three years on varsity, we have formed a great relationship, and he has always had my back. He expects greatness and pushes every single player on the team to be the best version of themselves. Coach Garippa has been an influential mentor to me and has impacted my life in countless ways.
What’s your favorite place on campus?
My favorite place on campus is Ambrose Field. I have spent countless hours on Ambrose Field. Whether it be practicing, running, or playing lacrosse with friends, I feel that every time I step on Ambrose, I have an opportunity to better myself and grow. So many memories throughout my four years have been made on this field, and also lessons that I will take with me throughout my entire life.
What’s your favorite thing about Brother Rice?
My favorite thing about Brother Rice is the community. The friends I have made will go on to be some of my closest friends for the rest of my life. The extensive alumni network is unimaginable, and no one thinks twice about helping a fellow warrior brother. One of the most impressive things is that all of the alumni give back to the Brother Rice community, whether it be through coaching, teaching, alumni events, or donations. The alumni want to give back so that other young men can have the same amazing experience as they did themselves.
What are some of the ways you have grown during your time at Brother Rice?
In my time at Brother Rice, I have grown in numerous ways. I have learned how to be a great leader in the classroom, on the field, and in my community. Brother Rice has also taught me about brotherhood and the importance of being there for someone in a time of need. It has instilled the importance of hard work and taught me how to balance school and athletics. I strive to demonstrate the R.I.C.E pillars of respect, integrity, character, and excellence in my everyday life. I will be forever grateful for the lessons I have learned and the man I have become because of my Brother Rice Community.
