Warrior College Mentors Program
The Brother Rice community is going the extra mile to help our Class of 2020 and 2021 in their college process. Since college visits and admitted student programs have been cancelled across the country, we recognize researching colleges is more complicated than ever. We are thrilled to announce the Warrior College Mentors, a powerhouse roster of young Brother Rice alumni ready to help!
Alec Emerson ’17, a current Notre Dame student, brought his vision to life and is at the helm, actively recruiting other young alumni that are current college students willing to help our classes of 2020 and 2021 (and beyond).
In only a few short days, Alec has lined up over 40 Warrior College Mentors that are ready to act as a resource for our juniors and seniors. Alec describes the new group as your source for “anything you would want your older brother to tell you” about a college.
Not only will the Warrior College Mentors answer our student’s current questions about their prospective colleges, but they are ready to serve as advisors throughout their college experience. From navigating the social life on campus to aiding with class selections, our Warrior College Mentors will be an unrivaled resource.
The goal is to grow the Warrior College Database over time, expanding with mentors across more colleges each year. As the students grow in experience, they will evolve from mentee to mentor, helping future graduating classes following in their footsteps.
We cannot thank Alec Emerson enough for his commitment and drive—what he has put together in the past few days for our Warriors is nothing short of incredible!
If you are an alum and a current college student that would like to become a Warrior College Mentor, please reach out to Alec Emerson or Mrs. Miller directly for more information.
