Senior Spotlight: Romas Mitrius

There are many things that make a Brother Rice student who he is. None of which are average. When you think of Brother Rice, what three words come to mind first?

Character, Excellence, Integrity

What are your next steps after graduation and what is your dream job?

My plan after graduation is to attend the University of Notre Dame to study Biology, with the goal of becoming a doctor to help save lives.

Who is your favorite teacher and why?

This is hard because there are so many teachers that could fit in this category. My favorite teacher is probably Mrs. Chumiecki, but really any teacher that challenges you mentally and/or helps you prepare for a later stage in life is a great teacher.

What’s your favorite place on campus and why?

I would say the cafeteria is my favorite place on campus because it is a gathering place for conversation with friends.

What’s your favorite thing about Brother Rice?

My favorite thing about Brother Rice is the opportunities it offers you. At Rice you have the ability to be excellent in the classroom, on the field, and it teaches you how to be successful in college and in life. It challenges you everyday to be the best you can possibly be.

What are some of the ways you have grown during your time at Brother Rice?

My faith, as well as my confidence in myself and my abilities, has become stronger than ever since I first came to Brother Rice.

Describe an experience that you have had at Brother Rice that you could not have had anywhere else:

Kairos is the one experience that you can’t have anywhere else. It is not only my favorite Brother Rice experience, but the best experience of my life.
