Winter Sports Information

WINTER SPORTS INFORMATION: Winter sports are around the corner - Please make sure that your student-athlete has a current MHSAA physical on file either in the Athletic Department or through the FINAL FORMS SYSTEM before try-out/start date. Please see FinalForms introduction letter and instructions. Any questions, contact the Athletic Department.

TUITION ACCOUNTS MUST BE CURRENT TO PARTICIPATE IN ANY WINTER SPORTS.

SWIM AND DIVE PARENT MEETING: scheduled for Wednesday, October 30 at 7:00pm in the Brad Simmons '75 Alumni Hall. Important details about the upcoming season will be shared, please plan on attending.

HOCKEY

Tryout/Start date:

October 28 Skaters will be split into two groups for the tryout as follows:

3:30pm session - Juniors & Seniors

5:00pm session - Freshmen & Sophomores

Additional tryout skate(s) will be held as needed.

BROTHER RICE HOCKEY FUNDRAISER: Please join parents, coaches, alumni and friends of Brother Rice JV, Varsity B, and Varsity hockey for a fundraiser and raffle in support of the 2024-25 hockey program.

$175 donation* current hockey families – Two Tickets
$55 donation* friends and alumni – One Ticket
Each ticket includes appetizers and one cocktail (cash bar after)

WRESTLING/SKI

Start date: November 11

WRESTLING PARENT MEETING: There will be an informational meeting on Monday, October 21 at 6:30pm, in the dining hall, for parents of students interested in participating in wrestling this winter. Any questions, please contact Coach Kolesky at kolesky@ricewarriors.com

BASKETBALL

Tryout/Start date: November 11 (Freshman 3:00/Varsity 5:00/JV 7:00) - please email Coach Palmer with questions palmer@ricewarriors.com.

SKI TEAM: Any students interested in joining the Ski Team are welcome to participate in dryland conditioning - Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3:00pm - 4:30pm in the weight room.
