Vocations

Our first or primary vocation is to live in holiness as children of God.

God has created each one of us with a unique calling and a path to follow Him. Through the Sacrament of Baptism, we become children of God, called to live in holiness by loving God and our neighbors. It is essential to remember that our true vocation comes not from the world but as a direct invitation from God to follow Him.

Everyone has a vocation. There are several paths to consider: the Congregation of Christian Brothers, the Priesthood, Consecrated Life, Marriage, or Single Life. Discovering your vocation involves a process called discernment. We invite you to explore where God's call may be leading you.

At Brother Rice we explore our vocation through annual discussions in our Theology classes or a vocations assembly.

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.  For everyone who asks, receives, and the one who seeks, finds; and the one who knocks the door will be opened.” -Matthew 7:7-8
