When you think of Brother Rice, what three words come to mind first?

Hardworking, Patience, Critical-thinking

How has Brother Rice helped you improve as a student?

Brother Rice has helped me improve as a student by teaching me to be a critical thinker and dig deep, as classes are challenging but manageable. I have also learned to advocate for myself.

Who is your favorite teacher or coach?

My favorite coach is Coach Ronald Talley of Brother Rice Football. He was a new coach this year, but his impression of my game and how I work will last forever. He significantly impacted my game and helped me reach all the achievements I had in football. I made All-State, All-Academic, and Dream Team, among others. We still work together, and he is preparing me to play for Boston College next year. Having an ex-NFL player at your fingertips is advantageous for a player looking to improve his game and potentially make it to the league.

What’s your favorite place on campus?

My favorite places on campus are the weight room and Mrs. Beyer’s room in the Center for Learning & Achievement, where most of my memories have been made.

What’s your favorite thing about Brother Rice?

My favorite thing about Brother Rice is the sports, the friends, and the number of opportunities everyone has to grow. In addition, the networking this institution offers and the number of connections we are able to make has helped form my future.

What are some of the ways you have grown during your time at Brother Rice?

Some of the ways I have grown since transferring to Brother Rice as a sophomore have been elite. I have matured mentally both on and off the field. Brother Rice has taught me that the only way to achieve what I want is to have the utmost dedication and tenacity. Understanding that life can be hard sometimes, but understanding and having the discipline to stay focused until the finish has been a big theme established. Looking back, the road to where I am now has not always been easy to travel. But, if I had to do it over again, I would still do the exact same thing.
