Brother Rice High School is dedicated to providing students a great education and an unmatched experience. One way that this is accomplished is through the use of technology in a smart, sensible way. Technology is becoming more and more prevalent in everything that we do. Brother Rice not only recognizes this, but also embraces it in an effort to prepare the students as best as possible for the world after high school. Every one of Brother Rice’s 34 instructional classrooms contains a smart board. The new Academic Resource Center (ARC) contains not only iMacs for student use, but also large, flat screen monitors that can be connected to a student lap top. This will give the students the ability to work more efficiently in groups.

Brother Rice also gives students the ability to access all of their homework and grades online through the sites Moodle and Infinite Campus respectively. Teachers use Moodle to post class notes, homework assignments, and links to outside sources that may be helpful to students. Infinite Campus gives students, and their parents, the ability to see their grade at any moment, as long as they have Internet access. Some teachers have even begun to use sites such as twitter to conduct class projects and communicate with their students about homework, tests, and extra credit assignments. Brother Rice strives to stay up to date with every advancement in technology, and does everything possible to provide the students with the environment needed to succeed in everything they do.
