January 17, 2019
NEW this year at Brother Rice, approximately 300 juniors and seniors will participate in mock interviews on January 17, 2019 (during their English class period in the ARC at Brother Rice). We are hoping the experience will help our young men be better prepared for job/volunteer, college coach, college admissions, and/or scholarship interviews.
Interviewers for the 2019 Mock Interview Day have been identified through Brother Rice Business Alliance, Brother Rice Dad’s and Mom’s Clubs and Alumni Relations. If you would be interested in serving as a mock interviewer in 2020, please email Dan McGrath ’96, Alumni Relations, email@example.com.
Brother Rice community members will serve as mock interviewers for a half-day slot (7:15 – 11:15 am or 10:45 am – 2:53 pm). Interviewers are also welcome to stay all day (with a break for lunch). Each interview will be 20 minutes in length (15 minutes for mock interview with 5 minutes for feedback with each student).
The mock interview provides our students with an invaluable professional one-on-one opportunity to practice their interviewing and resume writing skills. The experience allows students immediate verbal and written feedback from the business community regarding their interview performance. We truly appreciate the generosity of time and professional experience from members of the Brother Rice community serving as mock interviewers.
Information regarding the 2019 interviewer notes and instructions, sample job posting, interview questions and the student rating sheet are below.
