The class of 1968 enjoyed a “weekend to remember” celebrating their 50 year class reunion on Saturday, October 20 and Sunday, October 21. Classmates shared past stories and current whereabouts, all while reminiscing on their nostalgic times in high school during the mid-to-late 1960’s.
On Saturday evening, reunion coordinators wanted to gather in Detroit, a city that went through a lot of historic challenges when they were in high school, so they booked the Schvitz (owned and operated by Paddy Lynch ’02), Detroit’s original and only standing historic bath house.
The following morning, current students conducted school tours for the ’68 grads before Fr. Joe Grimaldi and Fr. Charlie Morris ’68 concelebrated a memorial mass for deceased classmates in the Brother Rice chapel. After the mass, attendees were treated to a bloody mary and mimosa bar and a brunch catered by Tooty Fruity. Congratulations to all graduates of 1968, a class we will never forget!
