Alex Malzone, the Brother Rice quarterback who was part of two state championship teams, will join Michigan’s freshman class in 2015, several recruiting sites reported Monday.

The three-star quarterback, who will be a senior this fall, made his pledge during a visit and confirmed it on Twitter.

He is the sixth commitment to Michigan’s 2015 class and first from Michigan.

The 6-foot-2, 205-pound Malzone threw for 2,795 yards and 25 touchdowns while leading Brother Rice to an unbeaten season last fall.
