Information Night 2019

Wednesday, September 18 | 6:00 – 8:00pm


This evening is a chance for you and your parents to explore Brother Rice academics, athletics, campus ministry and other signature programs.  The evening will begin with a welcome address from President Tom Reidy and admissions and financial aid presentation. These presentations will then be followed by three 20-minute information sessions regarding college counseling, the student-athlete experience, teacher expectations and much more.

Please be aware that you will be able to attend only one presentation each session, but we welcome you to attend all three sessions.

Band of Brothers
You will hear from Brother Rice Student Leaders as they discuss the schoolwide system that helps our students create leadership opportunities as well as growth and camaraderie across class lines.
Being a Student-Athlete at Brother Rice
Our Athletic Director will introduce you to the Brother Rice athletic philosophy and explain how athletics fit into a Brother Rice education and how our athletes balance school and sports.  He will also discuss the expectation we set for our players and coaches.
High School Teacher Expectations
Sometimes the biggest transition students have from middle school to high school involve the expectations of their teachers.  Hear from veteran Brother Rice faculty about their student expectations and how they help students achieve success.
Parent Panel Discussion
As a parent, you want to know that you are sending your son to the best place for him.  Current Brother Rice parents will share their experiences with you about Brother Rice’s academic, spiritual, and student life.
Roundtable with President Reidy and Principal Okuniewski
You will hear from our President and Principal in a roundtable discussion.  Topics will include the school’s philosophy, academics and new initiatives.
Spirituality and Service
You will be presented with information on the Brother Rice service opportunities and spiritual development opportunities including retreats, prayer services and liturgies.

Find yourself, Find your Future:  College Counseling
The Guidance Team will present on the Brother Rice Guidance and College Counseling Program.  Topics will include Chapel Meetings, Warrior Workshops, and Naviance.
High School Teacher Expectations

You will hear from our Vice Principal on how Brother Rice assists students in their academic transition to high school and prepares them to be academically successful.  This sessions reviews how students are recommended for freshman courses at Brother Rice.
Student Panel Discussion
You will hear from a panel of students who will discuss important aspects of student life.  After the students provide brief introductions and a snapshot of their Brother Rice experience so far, the students will take questions from the audience.
Spirituality and Service
You will be presented with information on the Brother Rice service opportunities and spiritual development opportunities including retreats, prayer services and liturgies.
