Prepare students for success in Algebra – This course is designed for students who have not started high school and want to solidify their understanding and mastery of important mathematical skills, including real number computations and properties, writing equations, equation solving, graphing and real-world problem solving. There will be regular assignments of concepts that are essential for success in Algebra I, Algebra II and beyond.

Algebra is the foundation for high school mathematics. Whether your student attends this summer camp class or continues to exercise his mind in other ways, it is important for you to support the retention of information from the school year that he has just completed. Research indicates that one of the biggest reasons for gaps in student achievement is losing ground during summer time away from learning.
