In 1987, The Alumni Association formalized communication with their alumni network with the first issues of the Alumni Newsletter, known as Rice Today. With Alumni Association President Brad Simmons ’75 leading the project, Brother Gremley, Mrs. Pat Lucier, Chuck Taunt ’67, and Mike Kinna ’78 were instrumental in bringing the newsletter to life. More than 30 years later, their efforts continue to bear fruit today as we produce Rice Today magazine bi-annually and a monthly Alumni Newsletter email to update and continue to connect with our greatest asset… our alumni.
